Membership

Become a member of GoldHeart. Join our efforts to rescue and re-home unwanted and sometimes abandoned Golden Retrievers and place them in loving "forever homes." As a member of GoldHeart you will receive our quarterly newsletter filled with useful information and updates on how our rescue efforts are going. Your tax-deductable donation of $30 is all that is required to become a member. The funds collected from membership fees enable GoldHeart to care for the Goldens that pass through our wonderful volunteers' lives on their way to new homes. Your generous support makes a huge difference; it counts in the Goldens' lives we touch!

If you prefer to print out the application and mail it to us, please download our printable version of the application.

Please indicate areas you would be willing to provide volunteer assistance. As a member you are not required to volunteer your services, but your assistance is warmly welcomed. If you are unable to volunteer at this time, leave the remaining categories unselected.

I'm interested in providing volunteer assistance in the following areas. For additional information on volunteer positions, contact our volunteer coordinator.

Conduct home visits - As part of the adoption approval process we visit the applicant's home to make sure it is suitable.
Process adoption applications - We call the references and veterinarians of everyone that applies to adopt a Golden from GoldHeart. We need to know that we are placing our dogs in homes where they will receive the love and care they deserve.
Evaluate dogs for intake - We evaluate the temperament of every dog before it is accepted into GoldHeart.
Staff events - We need volunteers at events to hold dogs, answer questions, staff the merchandise table, load/unload merchandise and do many miscellaneous tasks.
Fund raising - Fund raising is a continuous process. Without funds, we can't help the dogs.
Writing, editing, publishing - We publish a quarterly newsletter, and wlecome help in producing it. We also update our existing informational pamphlets and create new ones.
Transport dogs - Dogs often need to be transported to foster homes, to vet appointments and to events.
If you are willing to transport, how far are you willing to drive on a round trip?

What type of vehicle do you have?

Do you have a crate you can put in your vehicle and use for transport?
Foster Dogs - As a foster family, you will be providing a temporary home for a Golden Retriever while they wait for their "forever homes." All expenses are covered by GoldHeart and the rewards are without bounds. Seeing your foster dog in a wonderful, loving home where they will be cared for the remainder of their life brings untold joy.

If you have additional skills that you think could help our cause, please provide us a brief description in the space below.
