Happy Endings - Rocky

Rocky was supposed to be our foster dog. When I got an e-mail from Goldheart in April 2006, asking if we might be able to foster a young Golden who was in a bad situation, I was heartbroken to see the photos accompanying the e-mail. One look at the pictures, and I couldn’t possibly say "no." It took about 24 hours, at the most, for me to fall in love with this precious little guy. My husband asked me a few times in the next couple weeks, when I was going to do Rocky's write-up for the Goldheart website, and I would answer vaguely that I’d get around to it, knowing full well that I had no intention of ever writing it! My husband eventually realized that Rocky was my little boy, and was meant to be part of our family of Goldens (4). He is such a joy, with his infectious enthusiasm and zest for life. His perpetual "smile" is contagious, never allowing anyone to be in a bad mood. What a gift he has been!
