Happy Endings - Katy
| We adopted from Goldheart in spring of 2003, at the age of 4. Katy had some serious issues with thunderstorm anxiety and a definite Alpha female personality. In the 3+ years that we've had her, she has been a challenge at times. However, she has opened up to us, and shown her true Golden personality and has learned many new things, including how to swim last year, at the age of 6! With a lot of patience and some trial and error of medications, along with good advice from experienced Golden owners, Katy now manages much better when the storms arrive. She is quite a fashionable lady with a collection of stylish collars, along with a variety of tee shirts to wear as her "anxiety wraps" when she hears the storm approaching! Even though it's been tough at times to work with her, we could never let her be with anyone, but our family. She's our girl! |
