Happy Endings - Brandy

Brandy (right) and Sheeba (left). A few weeks before last Christmas we received a call. Gold Heart had recently received a three-year-old female who needed a good home. She had only been in foster care a short time so there were no photos posted to the Web site, however we were told that she was highly energetic. Just a couple of days before Christmas we met Brandy for the first time - It was love at first site. We loved everything about her, her energy, her enthusiasm, her love for people and animals, and her playfulness with our other dog Sheeba. To this day, we believe that God (with the help of Diesel, the dog we lost to a chronic illness) recognized our need for another dog and answered our prayers. On December 24th we completed the adoption, and Brandy became an official member of our family.

We have had Brandy for nearly a year, and we count our blessings every day. She continues to be a great companion for Sheeba, in fact, watching the two them play together in the back yard brings both of us so much joy! And after they have exhausted themselves in play, they snuggle up with my husband and I. Of course if we are not attentive enough, we get the cold nose under the arm to let us know.
