Ashley Beall-James (GH-212)
January 1996 - December 30, 2007
Our Ashley will always be with us, forever our gentle, kind and generous golden girl.
Ash possessed an indescribably magnificent spirit and provided an example of what we each wish we could be, unabashedly, in our daily human lives.
Ash was our 'good morning' girl, 'tell me about your day' listener, 'so glad to see you' greeter, 'I'll help you clean up' kitchen assistant, 'let's play, it's fun' fitness guru, 'sure, I'm ready to go' traveling goodwill ambassador and very best friend. Her full body tail wag and benevolent eyes expressed her joy of your company. Ash never met a human or cookie she did not love.

Ash, the heart of our home.
We wish to extend our sincere appreciation to GoldHeart's members and volunteers without whom; we would have not had the opportunity to share our lives with her. We send a special thank you to Diane & Kevin for fostering our beautiful girl.
Please consider sending a memorial donation to GoldHeart Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc., to honor her and to assist the efforts of this organization.

Maggie Rosen (1993-2007)
Her wagging tail and bright smile said it all. "Welcome" to thousands of visitors at Mark Downs Office Furniture in Cockeysville. Over her 12 years at Mark Downs she had become somewhat of a "celebrity" in Cockeysville where people would drop by the store just to visit with Maggie.
Maggie, a chestnut brown Golden Retriever knew her job very well. Monday thru Friday she greeted hundreds of small business owners and corporate executives. On Saturday she played with children and even babies of small business owners who brought their offspring on a business errand to buy a desk or chair.
There were times when customers found their children asleep resting on top of the big dog's belly. Older children got a different type of greeting as they ran together weaving in and out of the furniture in the showroom.

"One of her favorite visitors was the mailman; each day he brought her a treat. "If she wasn't waiting at the front door they would call her over the public address system and she would run to greet the mailman." said Steve Rosen, President of Mark Downs.
Most dogs never get a life so good, rescued at the age of two by Steve Rosen, Maggie suffered no serious illness during her lifetime.
Send no flowers please. The family and friends suggest a donation in her memory to the GoldHeart Golden Retriever Rescue Organization.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Brooks and the entire staff at the Hunt Valley Animal Hospital.
She worked 5 and sometimes 6 days a week until her last few days. It's rare for large dogs she was healthy to the ripe old age of 14+ (100 in people years).
Over the last three days, Mark Downs employees on their own quietly went to the vet to visit and say their farewells. Maggie was the official "customer greeter" for the past 5 years. She promoted herself to the position the day after Dusty died. On that day she took her "post" at the front door.
Over the years Maggie "taught" hundreds of children that big dogs can be friendly and gentle. She has helped people get over their fear of dogs. One man who never left his house for any other reason, came to the store on a regular basis, just to visit with Maggie.
We will all miss her. There are so many customers that will ask for her - she's made hundreds, thousands of friends over the 12 years that she "worked" at Mark Downs.
Maggie is survived by Jeff Rosen her favorite bedtime buddy, Steve Rosen, the Rosen family and more than 50 employees of Mark Downs Office Furniture.

Maddie's Rescue Message
Dear Mom, Dad, Treevor, Reba and all my GoldHeart friends,
From here, at the Rainbow Bridge, I see that you are feeling great pain and sorrow that I am gone. I always wanted nothing more than to bring you happiness...and let me tell you why. I am in a place where my body is healthy and I feel just perfect. I can look back and say, "Thank you," for all you did to help me with my illness. It was so complicated, keeping track of my poops, all my pills, the vet visits, phone calls and the food

| changes. The tender patience you had for my discomfort permitted me 5 extra months of love and belonging. Throughout those months, you made me the heart of your home and shared with me your foster dogs, Cinder, Jack, Kyra and Wilson. Remember, how Treevor would steal my woobie and make me chase him for it? He loved me sooo...I just know it! Try to remember our fun and joy in one another. I do! With all my love and licks, Maddie.

A sweeter soul, we’ve never known.
Molly joined our family at the age of thirteen. Months after joining our family, her aging body could no longer contain her indomitable spirit so she made her journey to RainbowBridge. Her bright eyes, velvet coat and playful demeanor will remain in our memories despite her short time with us. We hope your last days with us were your finest, Molly. They were certainly ours!
