GRREAT Goldens

Golden Retriever Rescue Education and Training (GRREAT) is another Golden Retriever rescue group in our area. From time to time, they have a Golden Retriever that has special conditions or issues above and beyond most of the dogs that are more easily re-homed. Even so, once GREEAT commits to a Golden Retriever in need, they endeavor to overcome any obstacle - medical or behavioral - in order to help them find their Forever Home.

Some of these dogs have behavior issues that can be overcome if they can find the right environment; a home with lots of patience, gentle but firm guidance and, sometime, obedience training. Unfortunately, finding the right foster home can be a challenge and often these dogs may wait for month in boarding for the right home to be available.

Others have medical conditions that need more than average medical care. Senior or ill dogs sometimes become long term fosters, where GRREAT continues to pay for all medical expenses and a family agrees to provide hospice care.

We are asking our membership to consider opening their home to one of these special Goldens and to provide them with an opportunity to be a member of a warm and loving home. Please take a look at our special dogs in search of special homes and see if you might have the right home to give them a second chance at a good and happy life.

Please visit GRREAT's website for more information about Special Needs Goldens Who Need Your Support.
